Mother’s Day Morning Tea with Endo Articles

As Mother’s Day approached this year, I wanted to do something special for my mum. Each year the day comes around and I’m left hastily putting together an array of vouchers, flowers, massages etc. Things that are lovely but never scream SPECIAL! So I was really excited when I stumbled across this morning tea at The Botanica in Vaucluse, raising funds for Endo Articles.

When we arrived we were treated to a super fun photobooth open for everyone to take pictures. After 10 or so minutes or mingling we got seated and were immediately treated to mimosas, coffees, teas and an array of pastries, fruit and other goodies. Mum and I got chatting with those around us and before long we got started on cupcake decorating led by the amazing Kristy from Kristy Can Bake. If you’ve ever looked at those cakes on instagram and thought ‘howww did they do that’, then this was the place to be! Kristy guided us through turning ordinary cupcakes into beautiful, edible works of art. With a variety of icing colors and decorative toppings at our disposal, it was the perfect start to an already beautiful morning. When we finished the workshop we were given little boxes to take our cupcakes home, which was a really nice touch considering the amount of food in front of us!

Following the workshop we were treated to a thought-provoking panel discussion on genetics and endometriosis. Elise Worthington, the national health editor at ABC, Jaycee, an Endo Articles Ambassador, and Dr. Caroline Ford from the Gynaecological Cancer Research Centre led a conversation all about endometriosis, genetic predispositions and health more broadly. It was empowering, powerful and a conversation I am so glad both mum and I were able to be a part of.

Throughout the morning, the gorgeous Alana Maria Jewellery had a pop-up stall where you could design a custom bracelet, choosing from a selection of 925 silver and 18ct gold charms and styles. Mum and I got matching ones and we both love our personalised and permanent pieces!

And if all of that wasn’t enough, everyone went home with goodie bags stuffed with vouchers, presents and all kinds of nice things. So good!

Overall, attending this event was an extraordinary way to celebrate Mother’s Day. I’m so glad we went. It had everything I wanted from an event and more, and we will be attending more of these sort of Endo Articles events in the future. Until next year, happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible mums out there
